WHO IS Dailymotion?
Dailymotion is a video-sharing technology platform primarily owned by Vivendi. Dailymotion partnered with Huawei video to add the sites videos there.

HOW THEY WORK?

HISTORY:
In March 2005, Dailymotion was founded by Benjamin Bejbaum and Olivier Poitrey in Paris.
In September 2006, Dailymotion together with Atlas Ventures and Partech International raised € 7million in funds, which was the most funds raised that time.
In October 2009, the French government invested in Dailymotion through the Strategic Investment Fund.
On January 25, 2011, Orange acquired a 49% stake in Dailymotion for €62 million.
On January 10, 2013 Orange bought the remaining 51% for €61 million.
On or about 2 May 2013, Yahoo's tried acquisition of a majority stake in Dailymotion but the French government blocked them from doing so.
On 25 February 2014, Orange revealed it was in discussions with Microsoft about a deal that could see Dailymotion enter the US market.
In 2015, Vivendi purchased an 80% stake in Dailymotion from Orange and later that September increased its ownership to 90%.
