TripIt is web-based trip planner and travel itinerary website.

TripIt helps organize its users travel plans by enabling users to create a master travel itinerary.

HOW THEY WORK?

TripIt is available for free to all users. After sign-in users get access to a number of apps that help with booking, planning, navigating, and tracking expenditures, including LoungeBuddy, Concur Mobile’ Clear, and TripIt Navigator’ among others. After sending details, such as email addresses, TripIt gets trip booking done and receives recommendations for the trip to help save money.

Oct 1, 2006, TripIt was founded by Andy Denmark, Gregg Brockway, and Scott Hintz.

On Jan 13, 2011, TripIt was acquired by SAP Concur for $120M in cash & stock.

On Apr 23, 2007, TripIt received $1M in its Series A funding.

On Apr 17, 2008, TripIt received $5.1M in its Series B funding.

In 2007, TripIt was named one of 10 Semantic Apps to Watch by ReadWriteWeb.

On Mar 4, 2010, TripIt received $7M from Azure Capital Partners, Oreilly AlphaTech Ventures in its Series C funding.
