Instagram is a free photo and video sharing social media app available on Apple iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. The app allows users to upload photos or videos to their service and share them with their followers or with a select group of friends.

Eventful Demand allows users to announce an event or performance they would like to see locally, and then do a campaign to get other people to join them. Event organizers use Eventful’s statistics to gauge interest in holding an event in a specific location. Users search for and track upcoming entertainment events in their using the platform.

HOW THEY WORK?

Eventful is open for users across the world. The users search for events from the site by entering details such as time, location, performer, and descriptive keyword. By the use of smart calendars, users can get automatically notified when events matching search criteria are added or when existing functions are modified.

Eventful has a powerful personalization algorithm. When users log in to the site, they can easily pull in their iTunes, Spotify, and Last.fm data along with social media (Facebook) interests. With such an algorithm it becomes easy for users to get music

 

HISTORY:

In January 2004, Eventful was founded as EVDB Inc. by Brian Dear, in La Jolla, California.

In March 2005, a public beta test under the name EVDB.com was launched and later changed its name to Eventful.com in September 2005.

In 2008, Eventful was being used in campaigns during the 2008 presidential election.

In 2009, Eventful was used to gather votes deciding where the film Paranormal Activity would be screened next.

In June 2012, Eventful had over 20 million users.

In July 2014, Eventful was acquired by CBS Corporation.
