Trump’s Tweets During Obama-era Comes Back to Haunt Him As President

Benen, S. (January 20, 2018). Trump’s Obama-era rhetoric on shutdowns comes back to haunt him. Retrieved from http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/trumps-obama-era-rhetoric-shutdowns-comes-back-haunt-him

This article explores Donald Trump’s sentiments on leadership and responsibility. Explains what a true leader should do as it requires experience in making deals and transactions because in the event that there is a government shutdown, it does not matter who is a Republican or Democrat in the Congress. All eyes shift to the leader; who is the President and thus his declaration that it is from the top leadership that problems start and that is the same place that they need to be solved. It is stated that, “Problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top and the president’s the leader. And he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead. [Obama] doesn’t do that. He doesn’t like doing that. It’s not his strength. And that’s why you have this terrible situation…. It’s very embarrassing worldwide.” Clearly, at this point President Barrack Obama was not Trump’s favorite because he was not happy with his kind of leadership style and he tried to hint that he would make a great president if he runs for the office and wins. It is based on his own opinions and experience in making business deals and transactions which can be used to his advantage as a leader.
