Trump Blocks Some People on Twitter

Wolfe L. (2018, May 23). How President Trump blocked me on Twitter. Retrieved from https://edition.cnn.com/2017/06/09/opinions/trump-twitter-first-amendment-opinion-wolfe/index.html

The author narrates how President Donald Trump blocked him on twitter. The introduction to the article provides information on the stand of the author with regard to Donald Trump’s tweets. She describes how shocked she was at the statements made by President Donald Trump on twitter. According to him, most of Donald Trump’s tweets are lies and personal vendettas. Lauren has shared the tweet which led her into trouble with the President in the first place. It was a response to Donald Trump’s tweet on the London terror attack. Her response to the tweet was; “What Khan in fact said: There was no reason to be alarmed by an increased armed police presence. You know no bounds. Liar” the tweet got her blocked. The author further explain that she is not the only person to be blocked by President Donald Trump. She fiercely gives her perception on the matter demanding that the President unblocks her and other citizen voices that he has shut down by blocking. The big question is whether or not Trump’s twitter account is a ‘public forum’ and if elected officials are allowed to block their constituents.
