The author addressed President Trump’s tweet on September 11th, 2018. Given his history of tweeting, lengthy and sentimental tweets about other matters such as his ‘witch hunt’, the author concludes that the president is not good with empathy but good with remembering time or checking the calendar. His tweet was “17 years since September 11th!. The author and many followers’ comments/replies to the tweet show their dissatisfaction with the tweet. They use sarcastic language, congratulating him for remembering, and others point out outright that he has failed in honoring the day as it should be. One follower addressed the use of an exclamation mark in the tweet, asking what was there to be amused about the September 11th attacks. Regardless of how he tweets and what he says, Trump has always found a way to create engagement with his followers.
